What Is Zoho Invoice?
Zoho Invoice is a cloud invoicing app from Zoho, the company behind Zoho Books and Zoho CRM. It creates quotes and GST-compliant invoices, records expenses and tracks time, and it sends invoices by email or WhatsApp with a payment link.
It sits one step below Zoho Books. There is no ledger, bank reconciliation or GST return filing, which is the point: it suits people who only need to bill clients and get paid.

How Zoho Invoice Works
You add a customer, build an invoice from items or tracked hours, and send it. Clients pay through UPI, cards or net banking, and automated reminders follow up on unpaid invoices. A customer portal lets clients see their own quotes, invoices and payment history.
When you outgrow it, data moves into Zoho Books, so you don’t have to re-enter customers and items.
When to Move Up to Zoho Books
Switch once you need GST return filing, bank feeds, inventory or an accountant working in the same file. If you only send a few dozen invoices a month and your CA handles the books separately, the free app is enough.
