Beginner: five personal projects, three filters and one-week activity history
Decision checklist
The Todoist app is a task manager for collecting commitments and deciding what to do next. Quick Add recognises natural-language dates, and labels and filters help group work across projects. It suits a consultant keeping client follow-ups visible or a small team assigning concrete next actions without building a large project workspace.
Beginner is useful for trying the task structure. Its five personal projects and three filters can become restrictive when work spans several clients or recurring responsibilities. Pro expands capacity and adds calendar layout and task duration. Upgrade for a planning requirement you can identify, rather than paying just because a free project list has grown messy.
Business adds a team workspace, roles and centralised billing. Its per-member cost should be compared with the number of people who actively manage work. Personal Pro features are included for members. Before rollout, decide how projects are named, who assigns tasks and whether completion means the deliverable has actually been reviewed.
Move one recurring process and one small client project into Todoist. Check whether staff can find overdue work, assign ownership and retrieve discussion context. These are suggested checks, not results from hands-on testing. TickTick and Microsoft To Do are useful personal-task alternatives. Trello, Asana and ClickUp are candidates when the team needs a broader project view.
For the Todoist login, use the Log in link on the official Todoist website or sign in through the app. Keep account access separate from your plan decision: compare project capacity and team requirements before upgrading.
